Who we are

Waceya Métis Society is a not-for-profit, chartered community under the Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC). We serve and empower Métis citizens in the City of Langley, the Township of Langley, and White Rock by offering a variety of community-based programs and activities. In addition, we help our members access the wide range of supports and services available through MNBC, all while fostering a strong sense of culture, identity, and belonging.

Leadership Council

Our Leadership Council brings together Elder, Youth, Women’s, and Neurodivergent representatives to ensure a broad range of perspectives guide Waceya’s cultural and community initiatives. Through collaboration and shared decision-making, the Council helps shape programs, events, and advocacy efforts that truly meet the needs of all Waceya citizens.

Our Board

The Waceya Board of Directors is composed of dedicated community members who oversee our organization’s governance, strategic planning, and overall direction. By guiding program development and managing resources, the Board ensures that Waceya stays true to its mission of preserving Métis heritage, supporting citizens, and strengthening community connections.
